Page 11 is up. There’s some toning issues on this one, but also some effects I don’t think came out half bad… way too many background tones, but then I want to keep the scene gradually getting dark, and my ink work isn’t quite to the point where I can do it that way yet. and now that I think about it, straight black shading wouldn’t work so well with everybody’s flat white shirts anyway… (though yes, costume changes are coming soon. they’re not going to be in prison rags forever…)

We’re in the process of fixing up and reorganizing the links page. New additions so far: Millennium, Redemption, Velharthis, ASPS, Crowfeathers, and No Rest for the Wicked. And if anybody wants to do link exchanges with us, please let us know…

TWC: ‘Commission’ done in copic markers for A.C. Who likes Oswyn… and pigeons. (note: the views expressed in this commission are not necessarily those of the artist, writer, or the character depicted.) There was actually a lot more pale grey shading all over the armor, but the scanner didn’t pick it up… oh well.

Buzzcomix: Very rough idea sketch for the fountain you can barely see in panel 1. Which hopefully I’ll get to show in more detail sometime.. I kinda liked the design.

oh, and in explanation of the one-eyed smilies ” -_\\ ” and such in the comments for last week’s post, I’ll direct you here - he’s a character from a different d&d campaign, which most of those comments were referring to. (I don’t know if the sketch in the link is safe for work on account of he’s missing half his face… but then, this comic is rated pg-13 anyway…)

TWC: Sketches for some mini figures I made for the D&D campaign - we use laminated grids to draw scaled maps for combat placement, with plastic figures for the characters. But everybody gets tired of using the official D&D miniatures intended for the purpose (and of trying to remember which one was who), so I drew these and traced them onto shrink plastic to make our own figures. Someday later I’ll put up a photo of the actual minis… the pictures I tried to take with the autofocus camera of course did not come out at all.
