…and we are back! Chapter 3 pages 4 and 5 are up. We’ll be working on updating with more than one page per week, but just how much more often we’ll be able to manage this remains to be seen. Question for everyone, on that note - would you prefer one weekly update, sometimes with multiple pages, or, for example, a Monday update every week and then a Thursday update whenever I have an extra page done? You’d still be able to check once weekly and look down at the previous update post to see whether you’ve missed a page or not, but those who wanted could see it sooner. Something to consider for later - let us know what you think!
Also, Tomoko’s fan comic has been moved from the vote incentive to the extras gallery, along with her new fanart of our “mystery character.” Thanks, Tomoko!
Some other things I’ve been setting up for the site while we’ve been on hiatus:
- a new guestbook map, since Frappr kinda sucks. Go sign it and say hello, no registration or anything required!
- a Comixpedia entry, which has at least a more accurate plot description than our About page has thus far..
- a listing on The Webcomic List.
I’ve also been working for a long time on a certain translation project… more on that later.
TWC vote incentive: seeing how International Talk Like a Pirate Day was last week, I finally finished up and scanned a PotC2/SoV parody sketch that’d been sitting in my sketchbook since even before the last Pirates movie came out. It features the guys from the SoV prologue, along with another character who’ll show up later on… and probably about two people will understand the whole of the joke, but hopefully everyone can appreciate some of the random parallels already (yes, that is a compass in the first prologue page, and no, it doesn’t point north….). EDIT: ..I suppose it also bears mentioning that Artreias has for the longest time suffered OOC accusations of being a pirate, for some reason…
